An article written by Renee Viellaris titled ‘Kids Dental Health in State of Decay’ appeared in the Courier Mail yesterday.

The article highlighted several unsettling items of information.

  • Children as young as 5 are having all their teeth extracted as Queenland’s tooth decay rates reach epidemic proportions.
  • Children with few teeth developed speech and social problems.
  • Australian Dental Association Queensland President, Dr Michael Foley said, “Queensland has the worst teeth in the nation”.
