Seasons Greetings

Posted in A Personal Note by Dion Kramer on December 20, 2005

I very much enjoy this time of year. Family, lots of food, a cheeky drink or two…what’s not to like!

This year my mother has been receiving treatment for cancer. And the chemotherapy has been quite rough.

So, we plan to make this Christmas extra special. My family including cousins, aunties, uncles, and grandfather will be spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together – should make for good memories.

From the team here at NobleHealth, we would like to wish you all the best throughout this holiday season and we look forward to assisting you and your family in 2006.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Root Canal Treatment: Frequently Asked Questions

Posted in Dental Health Focus by Dion Kramer on December 14, 2005

Earlier this year we introduced ‘Your Oral Health’. It contains papers on various oral health topics.

Below is an overview of a paper that looks at the topic of Root Canal Treatment.

In the past you would probably lose a tooth if the tooth had a diseased or injured nerve. Today you may save that tooth with a special dental procedure called root canal therapy. Inside each tooth is the pulp which provides nutrients and nerves to the tooth. It runs like a thread down through the root.

The pulp tissue dies when the pulp is diseased or injured. If you don’t remove this pulp tissue, your tooth will get infected and you could lose it. The root canal is cleaned and sealed off to protect it after the dentist removes the pulp. Then your dentist places a crown over the tooth to help make it stronger.

A root canal is usually a simple procedure with little or no discomfort involving one to three visits to the dentist. Most patients report that having root canal treatment today is as unremarkable as getting a filling. The best news is that it can save your tooth and your smile!

A Guide to Completing Membership Applications

Posted in NobleDentist Extra by Dion Kramer on December 1, 2005

A small list of issues consistently arise with the completion of membership applications at a participating dentist. As a result, I have prepared this brief guideline to assist everyone.

    1. Ask reception for a membership application.

    2. Print LEGIBLY in capital letters.

    3. Complete correctly all details requested on the form.

    4. If paying by credit card, ensure that your credit card numbers are easy to read.

    5. Return the completed membership application to reception.

    6. Ask reception to fax your application to NobleHealth.

Following this guideline will ensure you receive your membership card promptly. Otherwise, NobleHealth may have to contact you to seek clarification on various items. This may cause unwanted delays.

More complications means that extra staff may be required to process membership applications. This will then mean that membership fees may have to increase. We can all prevent this by following the guidelines.

You will receive 3 bonus months of membership FREE for completing all application details correctly.
